It's the end....YAY!
The greatest thing about this year was going to the state track meet. One of the hardest things I've accomplished this year was getting there! We had long hours and extremely hard practices and we were the 'underdogs' all year, and we improved our time by 20 seconds. This summer, I plan on taking (dumb) college classes, like speech! :/. Also, I will be playing summer basketball and hanging out with friends!

returned?!!?
I think this woman was being very irresponsible. If the boy was truly having these problems, she should have sought out for some professional help. She should not have just ran away from the situation. If she was willing to take on the responsibility of taking in a child that was not hers, she should have treated him like he was her own. There is no easy way out for REAL parents. And I think adopting a child makes you basically a 'real' parent, and she should have no 'easy way out' just like any other parent.

whoa!
Reporter: "Tell me how this happened? How did you get trapped in your car? What were you doing during this terrifying event?"
Me: "I was driving along the highway, and the truck was pulling on to the highway. I thought he saw me, so I figured he was going to stop. Well apparently this wasn't the case, the trucker just continued on its way has i passed right in front of it. It hit me directly in the side, when this happened I was so in shock; I froze. Once I realized that he didn't even know he was hitting me, I started screaming and honking my horn until he noticed."
Reporter:"When did you finally realize that you were pushing the car down the highway?" What was your reaction?"
Me:"I finally realized it when cars started moving out of the way; also the car that i was hitting was honking their horn without ceasing. When I looked down and realized what happened, my heart started pounding, and i stopped immediately. I was so terrified I'd hurt whoever was in the car; also I felt so stupid...How did I not realize what was going on earlier?!"

STOP.

A stop sign is a traffic sign, usually erected at road junctions such as a four-way intersection, that instructs drivers to stop and then to proceed only if the way ahead is clear. The idea of placing stop signs at road junctions was first conceived in 1890 when William Phelps Eno of Saugatuck, Connecticut proposed and devised the first set of traffic laws in an article published in Rider and Driver. However, the first use of stop signs did not appear until 1915 when officials in Detroit, Michigan installed a stop sign with black letters on a white background. Throughout the years and with many alterations made to the stop sign, the current version with white block-lettering on a red background that is used in the United States as well as emulated in many other countries around the world today, did not come into use until the Joint Committee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices adopted the design in 1954

TAKS=dumb test.
Dear State,
I would like to give you all an idea about what the kids that actually have to take this test feel about it. And I would hope that you all would take it in consideration, and make a few changes. First of all, it's extremely stressful, for all the students and also the teachers! If it wasn't so long and so hard it wouldn't be so bad. The hard part is definitely the essay, and short answers. Maybe if we only had to do one story, one visual, and one or two short answer, we wouldn't dread it so much. Please think about these changes, we would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks,
Stressed-out student
